The Price, The Value


  

Shalom was shattered!

Only smithereens remained.

Shalom, the pair missed.

The cost though undiscerned.

 

Beauty, perfection

And with love is creation.

Yet one brief action

Marred all of creation.

 

So thoughtfully done

Wondrous and glor’ous it shone.

Just thoughtless move one.

The masterpiece is torn.

 

Value stupendous,

Anyone so prosperous?

Only Lord Jesus

Can fit here apropos!

 

Heaven was emptied,

Nothing the Father withheld.

No treasure was spared.

Son was given for good.

 

The price Jesus paid:

With shame, injustice, and death.

Peace, truth established

For all infinitude.

 

Such value don’t spurn.

Thus, cost-free giveth Heaven.

Too good to be true?

No, this is Heaven!

 

God! With thanks accept thee. Faithful we may be. Amen.

    If only we remember the cost God has paid for our salvation, the understanding of soteriology will not remain only as a mental exercise but will change our life.
