The Price, The Value

Image
Shalom was shattered! Only smithereens remained. Shalom, the pair missed. The cost though undiscerned.   Beauty, perfection And with love is creation. Yet one brief action Marred all of creation.   So thoughtfully done Wondrous and glor’ous it shone. Just thoughtless move one. The masterpiece is torn.   Value stupendous, Anyone so prosperous? Only Lord Jesus Can fit here apropos!   Heaven was emptied, Nothing the Father withheld. No treasure was spared. Son was given for good.   The price Jesus paid: With shame, injustice, and death. Peace, truth established For all infinitude.   Such value don’t spurn. Thus, cost-free giveth Heaven. Too good to be true? No, this is Heaven!   God! With thanks accept thee. Faithful we may be. Amen.   Yeanoku   July 28, 2021

Priceless Pearls

Image
A tiny mustard seed When nourished and watered Majestic plant it grows. Sun-bright blossoms shining Attracting bees and birds.   Little irritations, Like nourished mustard seeds, When fed with prideful thoughts Into annoyance grow. Give birth to discontent.   A new cause now is born Attracting like-minded Anger and murder too. A monster so venomous, Powered to self-destruct.   Oyster’s irritation They gently isolate. With layers of nacre, All smooth and luminous, Priceless pearl emerges.   Moses a friend of God Had moments of despair. Asked God to end his pain. Like a lowly oyster Brought forth a pearl so meek.   What ails you isolate With God’s humility. Think all, greater by far In all around you see; A pearl of God you’ll be.   Yeanoku  July 14, 2021.

Perspective

Image
The travelling car’s driver Sees all around him well. Yet two vacuums, or blind spots Follow him everywhere.   Blind spots are close behind him Far back scenes reappear. Windshield view is expanding, Rear view receding ever.   Passenger in the back seat Sees scenes go whizzing by. Perceives not where he’s going Full trust in driver’s skills.   LORD take control of my car. Your steering’s always true. Thru storms and peace, I trust You You’ve never failed me yet.   LORD! to two to Emmaus All glorious truth You Bared. Gone are the nearby blind spots By breaking bread with You.     Yeanoku     6/30/2021. Emmaus by Robert Zünd
